Mafia Tanah dan Pendidikan Populer, Kontribusi Pemikiran untuk Keuskupan Labuan Bajo

Abstract

The designation of Labuan Bajo as a Super Priority Tourism Destination in 2021 was immediately followed by various development initiatives, examples of which can be found in Flores and NTT. For this purpose, the demand for land has increased significantly. Concurrently, there has been the sale of land through irregular means such as: forgery of documents, embezzlement or fraud, illegal occupation without rights, and the sale of disputed land. The focus of this research is to raise awareness about the seriousness of land mafia issues that harm the community. Therefore, the establishment of the Diocese of Labuan Bajo on June 21, 2024, can raise public awareness through popular education to be vigilant against the traps of land mafia. The methodology employed in this study is qualitative, based on literature research on land mafia, which is then combined with popular education as an offering.
