Learning by Doing (LBD) is a progressive thought from John Dewey which is very important to be applied in education, especially vocational education, which has been implemented at the Tunas Indonesia Hospitality Academy (APTI). By using a qualitative methodology based on library research and supported by various other academic documents, the author conducts a critical analysis to find out the extent to which the application of LDB is implemented in Akademi Perhotelan Tunas Indonesia and The Hotel Paragon Jakarta. The purpose of the research is to find out, evaluate and improve the implementation of LDB which is expected to become a model that can be applied to other institutions.
